Chicken with French Fries & Peas

This dish is something that could probably be termed as fusion cuisine, since its basically a Desi dish in terms of the cooking, but the addition of the french fries and the peas makes it look continental. So it's a good alternative to the traditional salan and yet something that the entire family will like. Also, due to the addition of the french fries, the chicken tastes really good with chilli garlic or ketchup.

Chicken with French Fries & Peas
Ingredients
Chicken - 250 gram
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp (Or ginger 1/2 tbsp and garlic - 1 tbsp)
Yogurt - 100 gm
Black Pepper - 1/4 or 1/2 tsp (can be added more according to taste)
Salt - To taste
Potato - 4 medium to large (according to taste)
Peas - 100 to 200 gm (acc. to taste)
Oil - 2 tbsp

Method:
Marinate chicken in gg paste, salt, pepper, yogurt for 1/2 hour
Cook chicken in 2 tbsp oil till tender and done (about half an hour). The chicken should be dryish, with just masala-ish gravy remaining.
Cut potatoes french fries style and fry them separately. Sprinkle salt on top. Fry peas with oil and a little bit salt. Make sure that care is taken when adding salt, because all three items are separately salted, and it might end up over-salting the dish in the end.
Pour the chicken in a bowl, top with french fries & peas . If you serve it immediately, the french fries will remain crisp, but if the french fries are added and then the chicken is cooked for a few minutes, then the french fries become soft and soak up the masala which gives it a different taste; So serving should depend on individual taste.
